Pet Refuge – Our Charity of Choice

Pet Refuge provides temporary shelter and care to pets while their families escape violence and enter emergency housing, where pets are often not allowed. Once safe and families have rebuilt their lives and found new pet-friendly accommodation, pets are reunited with their loving families, ensuring no one has to choose between their safety and their pet.

Pet Refuge believes every pet deserves safety and love, especially in their most challenging times. Their Safe Beds for Pets program provides temporary care for pets of families escaping violence. This includes a national transport service, veterinary treatment, a safe bed, food and bespoke enrichment and training programs so pets can heal from their trauma and be ready for a new safe life.

$25 gives a pet one night of care in the Pet Refuge Safe Beds for Pets program. But more than that, it offers families a pathway to healing and hope. Your support of Pet Refuge keeps pets safe and helps them continue providing a life-changing service for pets and families in need.

I find Sandra very proactive, she responds quickly to queries and requests, is very easy to deal with and is of a friendly and warm character. She recently coordinated a meet with the property owner which allowed me to clarify my situation with the owner. Everything was efficiently handled and I was quickly enjoying living in the Waikanae property by the Beach Vanessa and her teams communication for anything further while staying was fast and came with little interruptions or hiccups.
